Jill Yates Counselor

Jill has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2004. She received her Master of Education in Counseling from Wichita State University in 2004. She also received additional intensive training in the areas of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Self-Injury, Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Eating Disorders.

Ms. Yates completed Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive Training in 2010 and has also completed additional training and practice with DBT with Adolescents with self-injury and suicidal ideation, and is currently a member of a DBT consultation team. She has been a presenter on DBT both locally and nationally for the past 7 years.

Jill was a member of the first groups in the United Stated in 2015 to be intensively trained in Radically-Open DBT which focuses on disorders of over-control such as chronic anxiety, depression, obsessions, perfectionism etc. Jill completed EMDR Intensive Basic Training in 2013 as well as completed additional EMDR training to focus on Addictions and Compulsions.

Ms. Yates has also completed continued education and training in the field of eating disordered behavior and body image. She is currently licensed in Kansas as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and in the state of Missouri as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
